My first experience of LG was through the summer vacation scheme. I got to see the kind of work that trainees do, and I was impressed by how much they seemed to enjoy their jobs. Experiencing the dynamic, entrepreneurial and team-driven culture first-hand also helped me make up my mind.

My seat is in Corporate at the moment. It’s my fourth seat, and in every one I’ve been made to feel like an integral and valued member of the team. I was surprised by how much responsibility I was given right from the start – I’ve been encouraged to express opinions and offer ideas. The support has been incredible all the way through my training contract. There’s an open-door policy here, so partners and associates are always on hand to provide support and guidance.

The best part is definitely completing a deal. After months of hard work, seeing it all come together for your client is very rewarding. Completion drinks are an additional perk!

My advice to trainees? Make the most of your training contract, because those two years will fly by. Be enthusiastic, be proactive and get to know the people round you. And if you make a mistake, learn from it.
